Introduzione

La presente guida contiene delle istruzioni utili all'installazione del lettore multimediale RealPlayer.

Per riprodurre i formati RealMedia anche con Mplayer, Xine e Totem è consigliato installare i codec di Windows. Per maggiori informazioni consultare la relativa guida.

Installazione

Ubuntu 10.10

  1. Scaricare il pacchetto in formato .deb dal sito ufficiale del programma.

  2. Installare il pacchetto appena scaricato.

Ubuntu 10.04

Per installare RealPlayer é sufficiente installare il pacchetto realplayer presente nel repository non ufficiale Medibuntu.

Avviare il lettore

Per avviare RealPlayer è sufficiente fare clic su Applicazioni → Audio & Video → RealPlayer 11. In alternativa è possibile avviare l'applicazione digitando il seguente comando in una finestra di terminale: 

realplay

Configurare RealPlayer come lettore per il formato RealMedia o Smil

Per impostare RealPlayer come applicazione predefinita per l'apertura di file RealMedia o per i file di tipo Smil seguire le indicazioni adatte alla versione installata.

Ubuntu

Utilizzare nautilus per spostarsi in una cartella contenete dei file RealMedia o in formato Smil. Fare clic col tasto destro del mouse su un file e selezionare «Proprietà» e quindi la scheda «Apri con». Selezionare RealPlayer 11 e chiudere la finestra di dialogo.

Kubuntu

Avviare konqueror e fare clic su Impostazioni → Configura Konqueror. Spostarsi in «Associazioni file» e inserire «rm» nella casella di ricerca. Selezionare quindi «vnd.rn-realmedia» e aggiungere «Real Player 11» in cima al dialogo Ordine di preferenza delle applicazioni.
