Installare il pacchetto linux-backports-modules-hardy-generic, reperibile dal componente universe dei repository ufficiali.

Aprire con un editor di testo e con i privilegi di amministrazione il file /etc/modules, inserendo in fondo la seguente riga:

snd-hda-intel

Aprire con un editor di testo e con i privilegi di amministrazione il file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base, inserendo in fondo la seguente riga:

options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo

Controllare

alsamixer -v all

ed abilitare le tracce in mute col tasto 'M', mentre per alzare i volumi e spostarsi lungo il mixer usare le frecce direzionali. Dopo aver riavviato il Pc dovrebbe funzionare
