Introduzione

La presente guida contiene delle istruzioni utili all'installazione del lettore multimediale RealPlayer.

Per riprodurre i formati RealMedia anche con [:Multimedia/Video/Mplayer:Mplayer], Xine e [:Multimedia/Video/Totem:Totem] è consigliato installare i codec di Windows. Per maggiori informazioni consultare la [:Multimedia/FormatiProprietari#w32codecs:relativa guida].

Installazione da repository

Installazione su Ubuntu 7.10 «Gutsy Gibbon e successive

Scaricare il pacchetto presente a [http://archive.canonical.com/pool/partner/r/realplay/realplay_10.0.9-0feisty1_i386.deb questo indirizzo] e procedere all'installazione con [:AmministrazioneSistema/InstallarePacchettiDebian#metodografico:GDebi].

Installazione su Ubuntu 6.06 «Dapper Drake»

È possibile installare il pacchetto contenente il programma dal [:Repository/Componenti:componente] partner dei [:Repository:repository] ufficiali.

Preparativi

Aprire il file /etc/apt/sources.list con un [:Ufficio/EditorDiTesto:editor di testo] con i [:AmministrazioneSistema/Sudo:privilegi di amministrazione] e aggiungere la seguente riga:

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu dapper partner

Installazione

Per installare RealPlayer è sufficiente [:AmministrazioneSistema/InstallareProgrammi:installare] il pacchetto realplay.

Le seguenti istruzioni sono valide per tutte le architetture.

Preparativi

Prima di procedere è necessario [:AmministrazioneSistema/InstallareProgrammi:installare] il pacchetto libstdc++5.

Installazione

Scaricare e salvare sul Desktop il pacchetto presente a [http://www.real.com/realcom/R?href=http%3A%2F%2Fforms%2Ereal%2Ecom%2Freal%2Fplayer%2Fdownload%2Ehtml%3Ff%3Dunix%2FRealPlayer10GOLD%2Ebin questo indirizzo], dunque aprire una finestra di terminale e digitare i seguenti comandi:

cd ~/Desktop
chmod a+x RealPlayer10GOLD.bin
sudo ./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin

Il programma di installazione chiederà di indicargli un percorso all'interno del quale installare l'applicazione, è consigliato utilizzare una cartella fra /opt/RealPlayer e /usr/local/RealPlayer.

Installazione del plugin

Per installare il plugin RealPlayer per Mozilla Firefox è sufficiente copiare i file nphelix.so e nphelix.xpi presenti nella cartella di installazione /opt/RealPlayer/plugins in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins. A tale scopo è utile digitare il seguente comando:

sudo cp /opt/RealPlayer/plugins/nphelix.* /usr/lib/firefox/plugins

Nel caso il programma sia stato installato in /usr/local/RealPlayer la cartella contenente i file dovrebbe essere /usr/local/RealPlayer/plugins.

Riavviare Firefox e inserire nella barra degli indirizzi la seguente stringa:

about:plugins

Se l'installazione del plugin è andata a buon fine dovrebbe essere presente la voce «Helix DNA Plugin».

Avviare il lettore

Per avviare RealPlayer è sufficiente fare clic su Applicazioni -> Audio & Video -> RealPlayer 10. In alternativa è possibile avviare l'applicazione digitando il seguente comando in una finestra di terminale:

realplay

Immagine(Icone/Grandi/info.png,,center)

Se non si sente alcun suono durante la riproduzione, provare ad avviare il lettore con il comando aoss realplay. Per maggiori informazioni consultare [:RealPlayer#aoss:questa sezione].

Configurare RealPlayer come lettore per il formato RealMedia

Per impostare RealPlayer come applicazione predefinita per l'apertura di file RealMedia seguire le indicazioni adatte alla versione installata.

RealPlayer come lettore RealMedia su Ubuntu

Utilizzare nautilus per spostarsi in una cartella contenete dei file RealMedia. Fare clic col tasto destro del mouse su un file e selezionare «Proprietà» e quindi la scheda «Apri con». Selezionare RealPlayer 10 e chiudere la finestra di dialogo.

RealPlayer come lettore RealMedia su Kubuntu

Avviare konqueror e fare clic su Impostazioni -> Configura Konqueror. Spostarsi in «Associazioni file» e inserire «rm» nella casella di ricerca. Selezionare quindi «vnd.rn-realmedia» e aggiungere «Real Player 10» in cima al dialogo Ordine di preferenza delle applicazioni.

Configurare RealPlayer come lettore per il formato Smil

Per impostare RealPlayer come l'applicazione predefinita per l'apertura di file di tipo Smil seguire le istruzioni adatte alla propria versione del sistema.

RealPlayer come lettore Smil su Ubuntu

Utilizzare nautilus per spostarsi in una cartella contenete dei file in formato Smil. Fare clic col tasto destro del mouse su un file e selezionare «Proprietà» e quindi la scheda «Apri con». Selezionare RealPlayer 10 e chiudere la finestra dialogo.

RealPlayer come lettore su Kubuntu

Avviare konqueror e fare clic su Impostazioni -> Configura Konqueror. Spostarsi in «Associazioni file» e inserire «rm» nella casella di ricerca. Selezionare quindi «smil» e aggiungere «Real Player 10» in cima al dialogo Ordine di preferenza delle applicazioni.

Risoluzione dei problemi

Anchor(aoss)

Ascolto della radio

È possibile che si presentino problemi durante l'ascolto della radio in [:Multimedia/Streaming:streaming]. Per ovviare a tali problemi è sufficiente [:AmministrazioneSistema/InstallareProgrammi:installare] il pacchetto alsa-oss, dunque modificare lo script di avvio di RealPlayer in modo da attivare il supporto per alsa all'avvio.

Per installare il pacchetto sopra citato è sufficiente digitare il seguente comando:

sudo apt-get install alsa-oss

Dunque aprire /usr/bin/realplay con [:Ufficio/EditorDiTesto:editor di testo] e andare alla riga «70». Tale riga dovrebbe contenere un comando simile al seguente:

$REALPLAYBIN "$@"

Sostituire tale riga con la seguente:

aoss $REALPLAYBIN "$@"
