Per verificare il corretto rilevamento dell'hardware del portatile, digitare in un terminale il seguente comando:

Installare il driver Broadcom tramite uno dei due metodi seguenti.

• Metodo 1 → Durante l'installazione di Ubuntu:

  1. collegare il portatile al modem/router tramite cavo ethernet;

  2. dopo aver selezionato la lingua con cui effettuare l'installazione del sistema, spuntare la voce Installare software di terze parti. Il driver per la scheda wifi verrà automaticamente scaricato e installato durante l'installazione di Ubuntu.

• Metodo 2 → Dopo aver installato Ubuntu:

  1. collegare il portatile al modem/router tramite cavo ethernet;

  2. avviare lo strumento Software e aggiornamenti e selezionare la scheda Driver aggiuntivi.

  3. selezionare In uso Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source da bcmwl-kernel-source (proprietario) (o voce simile);

  4. fare clic su Applica modifiche;

  5. terminata l'installazione del driver, riavviare il sistema.
