Introduzione
Questa pagina fornisce una panoramica dei diversi driver disponibili per le schede video Nvidia e le informazioni utili ad installare il driver proprietari. Per informazioni specifiche sul driver open source Nouveau fare riferimento alla guida relativa.
Attualmente solo i driver proprietari forniscono supporto per l'accelerazione hardware 3D, supporto Tv-Out e funzioni dual-monitor.
Identificare la propria scheda video
Avviare il terminale e digitare:
sudo update-pciids lspci -nn | grep VGA
|
Il primo comando è opzionale e richiede una connessione ad internet. |
Il secondo comando mostrerà un testo simile a quello sottostante, specifico per la propria scheda video:

Classificazione dei pacchetti dei driver
Il pacchetto dei driver che deve essere installato dipende dalla versione di Ubuntu e dal modello di scheda video presente nel pc.
