Recensione del Summit di sviluppo a Parigi
Si è concluso a Parigi, con un grande successo, il summit degli sviluppatori di Ubuntu. È stata una settimana molto divertente all'insegna di discussioni tra amici hacker per discutere di nuove caratteristiche da implementare nella prossima release di Ubuntu, Edgy Eft. Anche i panorami di Parigi avevano il loro perchè. Ecco alcuni stralci del summit:

- 172 argomenti accettati per essere discussi, e l'elenco è stato generato automaticamente ogni giorno, seconda degli argomenti che avevano più bisogno di discussione e della loro priorità
- Gli argomenti includevano caratteristiche tecniche, strutture della comunità, opere artistiche, documentazione, processi e molto altro
Il summit è stato condotto dalla struttura di Blueprint in Launchpad, che mantiene traccia delle specifiche descrivendo i piani per il futuro. Ecco la lista: https://launchpad.net/sprints/uds-paris/

This week Daniel Holbach has uploaded GNOME 2.15.2 to Edgy. Improvements include new versions of the following packages:

Caratteristica della settimana - Pattern Matching in Nautilus
One of the strengths of the command line is the ability to search for patterns in just about anything. Well, Nautilus can perform pattern matching too. Just hit CTRL+S in your Nautilus window and you can select your files using patterns. If you have some rar-archives packed in multiple volumes for example you could use *.r?? to match all of them. The Asterisk (*) matches all characters before .r and the Question marks (?) represents one character each. Almost any pattern matching rule will work, give it a try for yourself.
