Il gruppo di distribuzione della Canonical ed un paio di comunità di programmatori hanno lavorato insieme per una settimana a Wiesbaden. Molto lavoro sull'elaborazione delle caratteristiche è stato affrontato dal momento in cui Edgy è in una situazione di “freeze”. BR Giovedì la ditta IT di “consulting” , CC GmBH, che utilizza Kubuntu, ci ha invitato nei suoi uffici dove ha preparato una cena Sud Africana nella sua impressionante struttura. Upstart svelato

Scott James Remnant ha scoperto, questa settimana, il suo nuovo upstart [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReplacementInit init replacement]. Molto interessante, direte! Meglio osservare crescere il prato, non vi pare? Niente paura, Scott ha raccontato tutto in un suo lunghissimo blog: [http://www.netsplit.com/blog/work/canonical/upstart.html blog post], senza omettere ciò di cui ci si deve preoccupare, il disegno, quale upstart debba essere attivato e quale no initng/launchd/SMF/something else. L'upstart si trova attualmente in universe, ma come Scott spiega nel suo blog, l'upstart non può ancora rimpiazzare sysvinit; lo potra fare dal vivo in Edgy tra qualche settimana.

Nuove Applicazioni in Edgy
Da non dimenticare le note per un'installazione rapida, abilitare le repository extra, il nome dei pacchetti, usare g-a-i dove fosse necessario...etc....

Ken Wimer l'artista responsabile di Kubuntu Edgy è impegnato nello sviluppo del progetto per un nuovo disegno artistico. Il tema 02 ha una tonalità molto gradevole.

Power Management Applet
Il pacchetto guida kde-guidance possiede una nuova applet per la gestione del power management in Edgy. Quanto sopra sostituisce il klaptopdaemon usato nelle precedenti versioni di Kubuntu. Sperimentatelo, rendendoci partecipi delle vostre impressioni.
