Ubuntu è un sistema operativo basato su GNU/Linux libero e gratuito, che unisce stabilità, sicurezza e facilità di utilizzo. È perfetto per laptop, desktop e server e contiene tutte le applicazioni di cui hai bisogno per la casa, la scuola o il lavoro, dalle applicazione per email ed editor di testo, al software per web server e per la programmazione.

Ubuntu è e sarà sempre completamente gratuito. Non dovrete mai pagare alcun costo di licenza. Scaricate Ubuntu, usatelo e condividetelo con i vostri amici, familiari o colleghi di lavoro.

Il team di Ubuntu rilascia una nuova edizione desktop e server ogni 6 mesi. Questo significa che avrete sempre a disposizione le più recenti e aggiornate applicazioni che il mondo open source ha da offrire!

Ubuntu è stato progettato per la massima sicurezza. Avrete a disposizione un supporto per gli aggiornamenti di sicurezza di almeno 18 mesi sui desktop e sui server. Per le versioni con supporto a lungo termine (LTS) avrete a disposizione 3 anni di supporto per l'edizione desktop, e cinque anni per la server. The Server Edition - built on the solid foundation of Debian which is known for its robust server installations — has a strong heritage for reliable performance and predictable evolution.
