In questa guida sono contenute delle istruzioni utili per l'installazione della stampante multifunzione '''Epson SX400'''.

== Stampante ==
A partire da Karmic il driver della stampante è riconosciuto automaticamente mentre per le versioni precedenti è possibile utilizzare il driver della EPSON Stylus DX4800.
== Scanner ==
Per poter utilizzare lo scanner è necessario installare il pacchetto [[apt://libsane-extras | libsane-extras]] presente nel [[Repository/Componenti|componente]] '''universe''' dei [[Repository|repository]] ufficiali.

= Configurazione =

Aprire il file `/etc/sane.d/epson2.conf` con un [[Ufficio/EditorDiTesto|editor di testo]] e i [[AmministrazioneSistema/Sudo|privilegi d'amministrazione]] e aggiungere la riga seguente:

Digitare il seguente comando in una finestra di terminale:

sudo sane-find-scanner

Il risultato sarà simile al seguente:

Aprire il file `/etc/udev/rules.d/scanner.rules` con un [[Ufficio/EditorDiTesto|editor di testo]] e i [[AmministrazioneSistema/Sudo|privilegi d'amministrazione]] e aggiungere la seguente riga:

Salvare il file e chiudere l'editor di testo e infine digitare il seguente comando in una finestra di terminale:

sudo addgroup $USER scanner
}}}

Se state utilizzando un utente diverso da quello con cui utilizzerete lo scanner sostituire la dicitura «$USER» con il nome utente che si desidera aggiungere al gruppo. Per applicare le modifiche è necessario riavviare la sessione corrente.
