Introduzione

Pastebin è un'applicazione web che permette all'utente di caricare online parti di testo, normalmente file di registro o codici sorgenti, per renderli disponibili pubblicamente. È utilizzata dagli utenti IRC, di altri programmi di chat e da alcuni servizi Q&A (come Chiedi), dove incollare grosse quantità di testo è considerata una cattiva abitudine. Ci sono diversi stili di pastebin e nel tempo molti pastebin si sono evoluti fornendo alcuni servizi specializzati rivolti a un pubblico specifico, ad esempio evidenziazione di codice. Il testo incollato in un pastebin è conservato solo per un certo periodo di tempo, che normalmente varia da un giorno a un mese.

Copiare (Ctrl + C) il testo che si vuole salvare.
Andare su un sito di pastebin, incollare (Ctrl + V) il testo nella casella "Content" e inserire un nickname nella casella "Poster". Alcuni pastebin richiedono un utenza registrata o di inserire il periodo di validità del contenuto.

Go to an online pastebin and Paste (Ctrl + V) your text into the Content box. Some pastebins have you enter a name and how long you want your post to be retained. Hit the 'Submit' or 'Send' button. This will generate a page with a url like http://pastebin.com/1234 Paste the url into an IRC or IM conversation. Someone responds by reading and can even submit a modification of your code. Clients There are some tools available to help you use pastebins.

Pastebinit a small python script that allows you, from the command line, to simply send whatever you give it to an online pastebin and gives you the URL in return. It's useful when doing IRC support (when you don't want one to paste a 200 lines log) or when working on a command line box with no way to SSH in it. Written by Stéphane Graber
