-Qualcuno saprebbe aiutarmi a far funzionare sulla "Ubuntu Hoary 5.04" il modem ADSL "Speedweb IPM Datacom"?! Ho provato con dei driver ECIADSL, che a quanto dicono nei forum, dovrebbero essere quelli corretti per il mio modem.
Il problema è che al momento della SINCRONIZZAZIONE mi si pianta, non va avanti... insomma non so cosa fare... qualche idea?!

-P.S. ho provato anche gli utlimi driver, scaricati da "flashtux", e anche col pacchetto .deb, ma niente... si pianta alla sincro. 
P.P.S. Si può richiedere alla telecom che ci cambi il modem con uno ethernet, per l'utilizzo con Linux?!



Per far funzionare quei driver devi solo individuare il synch.bin giusto. Per l'italia (con aliceadsl ed altri operatori) è il synch04.bin del pacchetto aggiuntivo che puoi scaricare dal sito di eciadsl. Se hai altri problemi, nella cartella di eciadsl trovi degli script diagnostici molto utili: eciadsl-doctor, eciadsl-probe-device, eciadsl-probe-synch.
