Modificare la configurazione di Xorg
Nelle versioni precedenti a Ubuntu 9.10 per modificare le impostazioni del server grafico occorreva editare con un editor di testo ed i privilegi amministrativi il file /etc/X11/xorg.conf, a partire da questa versione di Ubuntu il file /etc/X11/xorg.conf non è è presente, perché il server grafico è tutto gestito automaticamente dal sistema, ma se verrà creato un file di configurazione la gestione del server grafico passerà a questo.
Generare il file xorg.conf
Per creare un nuovo file di configurazione di xorg.conf seguire la seguente procedura:
- All'avvio del pc nella schemata del bootloader Grub scegliere la voce «Modalità ripristino»
- Apparirà poi una schermata
- Selezionare la voce «root Passa a una shell con i privilegi di root»
- Inserire la password di root se richiesta
- Diditare il comando {{{X -configure
}}}Verrà generato il file xorg.conf.new
Copiare il file xorg.conf.new nel file xorg.conf e inserirlo nella cartella /etc/X11/ {{{ cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf
}}}
Riavviare il pc con il comando
