Introduzione

Avant Window Navigator è una dockbar sviluppata per GNOME e compatibile solo con un Composite Manager (Beryl/Compiz). Avant permette di visualizzare l'elenco delle finestre aperte e permette di inserire dei collegamenti.

Installazione

Su Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft

• Aprire /etc/apt/sources.list:

  sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

• Aggiungere i seguenti repository:

  deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42/ edgy avant-window-navigator
  deb-src http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42/ edgy avant-window-navigator

• Validare la chiave gpg del repository:

  wget http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42/8434D43A.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
  sudo apt-get update
  sudo apt-get upgrade

• Installare Avant:

  sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator

Su Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn

• Aprire /etc/apt/sources.list:

  sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

• Aggiungere i seguenti repository:

  deb http://apt.schmidtke-hb.de/ feisty main

• Validare la chiave gpg del repository:

  wget http://ubuntu.schmidtke-hb.de/aptrepository.asc
  sudo apt-key add aptrepository.asc
  sudo apt-get update

• Installare Avant

  sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator

Sessione di avvio

Per far avviare Avant all'avvio di Ubuntu ecco come fare:

• Andare su Sistema -> Preferenze -> Sessioni -> Avvio programmi

• Inserire avant-window-navigator
